ADIG would like to thank and congratulate outgoing Board Member Bob Locke on his outstanding service to our organisation and the broader ADIG family.

Bob first became involved with the Armidale Diocesan Investment Fund (now known as the ADIG) in the late 1970s whilst working for Murray & Allen, an Armidale based accountancy firm.

One of his first jobs, as a trainee accountant in the office, was photocopying papers, being the “gofer” and endeavouring to take the minutes of the general business session of the National Catholic Development Fund conference held in Armidale.

Bob became Assistant Company Secretary of the Fund with Des Murray the Secretary and then Company Secretary in the late 1980s when Des was forced to stand down due to illness. Bob was the accountant for ADIG and has been a Board Member for over 40 years.

Bob has played a key role in the success of the ADIG for the Diocese of Armidale through his financial oversight, innovation, and prudent investment management. His involvement with ADIG always recognised the enormous trust the investors placed in ADIG to look after their investment as they supported the Diocese with their accounts.

His expertise, steady influence, humble demeanour and generous gift of his time and talents made an extraordinary contribution to the success of ADIG.

He has been a committed active parishioner at Saint Joseph’s Parish Uralla all of his life, giving his time and talents across many Parish, school and community groups and committees.

Bob remains a member of the Diocesan Finance Council and a Board member of the Armidale Clergy Fund.

Thank you Bob, for your outstanding commitment and contribution to ADIG and the Diocese of Armidale.
