How we help
The Armidale Diocesan Investment Group has been commissioned by the Bishop to assist him in advancing the pastoral work of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Armidale.
ADIG began operations in 1974 in response to a growing need from parishes and schools in the Diocese of Armidale for finance on more suitable terms than could be obtained commercially. ADIG commenced borrowing funds from the community in order to provide these loan funds.
The Group still invests money from the community through a range of saver and Fixed Term Investment accounts. Investors include school children, families, small and large investors, clubs and associations, as well as school and parish accounts. Total invested funds held by the group exceed $330 million.
The ADIG business is able to generate returns from our asset base to meet the obligations of our investors whilst enabling the generation of profits which are either distributed or retained in our profit reserves.
ADIG plays an important role by providing significant contributions through both community support and direct financial distribution.
